SUMMARY

  • Own recruiting activities such as creating/updating consistent and relevant job descriptions, partnering with the appropriate recruiter for a job, understanding which jobs need to be given to a recruiter vs which needs to be filled by us as a team, following up with managers on the outcome of an initial screening call. Participate in interviews and help the managers reach an outcome best for their team. Keep all stakeholders and recruiters informed of the status of any position.
  • Own and manage the company’s co-op program. They have about 8-10 co-ops at any given time.
  • Manage career fairs with local universities.
  • Support internal employee training activities.
  • Support project work such as stay interviews, global onboarding, etc.
  • Create HR data metrics to help make informed decisions. This could be from stay and exit interviews to help with retention, cost of hire, etc.
  • Support any other HR activities/tasks as needed.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the other HR team members to ensure the effectiveness of the team.
  • Keep the HR Director informed and in the loop of all activities to ensure we are operating well as a team.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
  • Familiarity with full-cycle recruiting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate leadership and collaboration across all functions of the organization
  • Effectively navigate through complexity and problem solving
  • Display strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
