Job Title: Solutions Consultant
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 base + annual commission scheme
Location: Remote base with 75% travel throughout the domestic United States

Working in partnership with sales, the Solutions Consultant is responsible for representing and implementing our clients' products and services within its customers' facilities. This position is full-time, remote, exempt, and required to travel 75% of the time throughout the USA & Canada.

Your office will be the factory floor where you’ll work with multi-function teams to analyze the production, monitor waste, and gather performance data to prioritize, plan, and action process improvements. You will do this by engaging and empowering line operatives and giving them the opportunity, power, and voice to report and solve issues in real-time. Your greatest challenge in this role will be to influence at all levels to either establish or develop a CI culture, but you will relish that opportunity because you will be a natural people person who loves seeing others flourish in their roles.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience within the fast-paced atmosphere of a food or wider CPG manufacturing facility but this is not essential. You will however demonstrate experience and passion for the manufacturing environment where you will provide examples of how you have coached and influenced others. You will also have a good understanding, experience, and certifications in CI tools, techniques, and training. A yellow below or above in Lean Six Sigma is useful but not essential.
This position can be based anywhere in the US - remote. It is a full-time, exempt, and required to travel 75% of the time. Think Monday departure with Thursday/ Friday afternoon return.
Essential Duties
- Lead kaizen activities as required during customer-based ‘Future Now’ programs
- Need a highly adaptive and fast-paced individual
- Facilitate weekly customer progress meetings on-site and remotely
- A great facilitator, able to speak to both the shop floor and senior leaders
- Troubleshoot and support customer issues when needed
- Practice using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and its components in driving production results and continuous improvement.
- A background in manufacturing, ideally with CPG experience and experience within industrial engineering
- Experience leading and influencing operations, engineering, and quality teams within a plant environment
- Pleased to be in a different site each week, with different people solving different problems
- Ability to prioritize and manage separate streams of activity
- 75% travel requirement for domestic customers as needed
- Ability to work in direct, hands-on manufacturing environments interacting with the Operations Manager, Production Supervisor, and Continuous Improvement Manager; preferably within the food and beverage or CPG industry.
- Tech-friendly and comfortable communicating technical requirements about networking, wireless, and software information.
- Ability to prioritize tasks within active projects to meet critical path deadlines.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in direct hands-on manufacturing-previous roles like Operations Manager, Production Supervisor, and Continuous Improvement Manager; preferably within the food and beverage or CPG industry.
- Practice using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and its components in driving production results and continuous improvement.
- Ability to plan, organize, and function effectively in a dynamic environment, addressing multiple demands of internal teams and clients.
- Ability to develop/maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound judgment and excellent assessment skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and to work in a high-paced, high-growth environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks within active projects to meet critical path deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Tech-friendly and comfortable communicating technical requirements about networking, wireless, and software information.
- Able to learn the software required to perform successfully in this position.
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience and familiarity are desired, but not essential.
Education/Experience
- BA or BS. Relevant fields of study can include and are not limited to: Engineering, Manufacturing, Organizational Leadership/Management, Supply Chain Management, and Business Management.
- Two years in a similar Opex/ CI/ Operations Management position
Environmental Adaptability
- Able to work in manufacturing plant settings.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, and manage changing environments, adapting to various locations/accommodations.
- Ability to work in a corporate office, home office environment, manufacturing shop floor, and/or a variety of alternative office-type settings.
