Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 DOE + Full Healthcare, Insurance and 401k Benefits.
The Role and Your Impact
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll work alongside talented cross-functional engineering and sales teams to bring our game-changing solutions to life within customer facilities. Your ability to speak to both shop floor workers and senior leaders will be crucial as you troubleshoot and support customer issues, ensuring game-changing designs not only delight our clients but deliver maximum results.
We're looking for a highly adaptive, fast-paced individual with a background in manufacturing and engineering, who can create, draft, and design product layouts and schemes using customer specifications and recommendations. Your ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple streams of activity will be essential.
While experience in the food and beverage or CPG industry is preferred, a passion for technical requirements, such as machine design, CAD, Fusion360, AutoCAD, sanitary design, and structural analysis is required.
Teamwork is at the heart of everything our client does. You'll interface with everyone on its team, building strong relationships and working together to achieve our goals. You'll also have the opportunity to travel, as 25% - 50% of the role involves domestic customer visits.
The Basics
- Mechanical Design and CAD: Proficiency in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for designing mechanical components, systems, and equipment.
- Materials and Manufacturing Knowledge: Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and their application in designing efficient and cost-effective systems.
- Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer: Knowledge of thermodynamic principles and heat transfer for designing systems with optimal energy efficiency.
- Structural Analysis: Ability to perform structural analysis to ensure the integrity and safety of mechanical components.
- Machine Design: Experience in designing machinery and mechanical systems for manufacturing applications.
- Fusion360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, FlexSim: Proficiency in software tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks for drafting and modeling.
- Knowledge of the CPG Industry: Familiarity with the specific needs and processes of the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturing sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 4+ years' of industry experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of mechanical parts and computer-aided design
