Title: Director of Finance
Salary: $150,000 - $180,000
Location: Remote with frequent travel to Arizona HQ and travel to other company sites (estimated 10% - 15% if in AZ, if residing outside of AZ then travel requirement will increase).

Prerequisite: The successfully appointed professional must have financial management and leadership experience from working within manufacturing environments or suppliers to manufacturing operations.
Reporting to the Senior Leadership team this Director of Finance opportunity has clear progression into a CFO role within the next 2-3 years.
Historically the organization has outsourced its financial operations but is now seeking to develop an internal leadership function due to significant growth over the past 18 months. The opportunity to develop world-class systems and financial operation procedures will be immediately available.
We seek someone who is able to build an internal finance function from scratch, who is exceptional with MS Excel, and who understands QuickBooks. They will also be able to work in close proximity with the senior leadership and ownership group, to provide clear, concise financial directions and potential impacts of strategic decisions.
The role is remote with 10-15% travel if the candidate is based in Arizona. This travel will increase the further away you reside.
Qualifications:
- Proven business partner and expert problem solver; sorts through complex issues and makes sound recommendations
- MS Excel genius and experience with QuickBooks
- Strong intellectual curiosity, and a desire to understand manufacturing operations
- Self-starter who seeks out opportunities for improvement and drives recommendations and solutions to closure
- Strategic outlook with the ability to operate as a “change agent”
- Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills capable of interacting with staff, peers, and senior leadership

- Prior experience in analyzing, forecasting, and planning a P&L
- FP&A process development and experience (FPAC qualification an advantage)
- An impeccable sense of integrity and business ethics
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Finance plus CPA and or CMA qualification

Responsibilities:
- Key responsibilities include business decision support, lead financial guidance and oversight of all business operations, FP&A processes, financial analysis, AR/AP, and internal controls
- FP&A processes include review and analysis of operating results, identification of risks and opportunities, and recommendation of actions to improve the overall operational and financial performance of the individual plants
- Ensure meaningful business data is being provided to the Leadership Team that helps improve decision-making and financial performance
- Ensure predictability of financial results by driving effective AOP and quarterly forecasting processes
- Provide insight on how to optimize inventory levels and achieve Days on Hand (DOH) targets, and ensure robust inventory management processes are in place to minimize inventory shrink
- Develop financial analysis and business cases to support business investments
- He/she will work with the leadership team to identify, review, select, and implement productivity opportunities and programs
- Provide leadership, direction, and support in establishing, maintaining, and enforcing proper internal control policies and procedures for the manufacturing locations within their scope of responsibility
